Darn, and for posting colour red's fine with me, as long as it's not some hellish neon-pink-red.

OK, since I'm starting to panic now and this is my only chance to post within the time, I'm going to go ahead and post the banner.

No need to panic...I would have posted long ago, but wasn't sure since I wasn't one of the co-captains whether I should presume...sorry.

one of the captains has to post the banner so helekwen thanks for doing that. btw, it isn't a very bad thing if the banner isn't posted on time, let's just make sure the answer is on time, because if we're one minute late with that, we don't get any points.

I hope you're still that confident after you saw the questions, here are the first ones:
Minas Tirith Question I: Who didn't speak the hostile words in their mind, being mindful of the danger they were in? Hank Question I: Who sang as he hacked?
it could be a dwarf, and then out of the hobbit but I don't have that book with me. maybe it's gimli when he's killing orcs. I'll look in the lord of the rings.

okay, I'll check the Hobbit, though I've a gut feeling that it may be Gimli.

Could it possibly be one of the Riders of Rohan like Eomer at the Pelennor? Although I don't know that he 'hacked'...meh, I'll check it.

Could be Bilbo when he takes on the spiders in The Hobbit. Off to check.

And then all the host of Rohan burst into song, and they sang as they slew, for the joy of battle was on them, and the sound of their singing that was fair and terrible came even to the City. ~ROTK, The Ride of the Rohirrim
If we can't find the actual answer, we can do some shifty definitions and use this...I mean it probably won't work, but if we have no answer whatsoever...

THAT IS A WICKED BANNER
I think that answer would work... these modding types, I know their ilk, they like to use all kinds of weird synonyms and homonyms and things to throw people off. The only problem I see is that the question says "he" and that's takling about "they". We could probably pass it off if we can't find something else though, I agree

Standing now in the middle of the hunting and spinning insects Bilbo plucked up his courage and began a new song:
Lazy Lob and crazy Cob are weaving webs to wind me. I am far more sweet than other meat, but still they cannot find me!
Here am I, naughty little fly; you are fat and lazy. You cannot trap me, though you try, in your cobwebs crazy.
With that he turned and found that the last space between two tall trees had been closed with a web-but luckily not a proper web, only great strands of double-thick spider-rope run hastily backwards and forwards from trunk to trunk. Out came his little' sword. He slashed the threads to pieces and went off singing. ~The Hobbit, Flies and Spiders
Is this what you were thinking of, Elarith? That might work better. He's slashing, not hacking, but that's pretty close.
