may I point out to the person who edited it that it was upsporting? anyway, let's just quite about it and concentrate on the match. let's hope we'll be able to get a steal. I'm going to school now, finish a business plan.

Ok, Rivvy posted an answer but it was some long-winded and rather desperate, in my opinion, quote about Merry and Pippin's death illuminating the Orcs to the Riders. So I posted for the steal - within the deadline too. Huzzah! *crosses fingers*

Two random questions: 1) Why did you close down Hank's elbow? Awwww! lol 2) What does exalting someone do? Other than give them 1 karma point? I just tried it on elarith and nothing else seemed to happen.

1) I didn't close down Hank's elbow on purpose. I was just messing around with all these admin powers that I have. *laughs evil laugh* 2) I have no idea what else exalting does. I think it's way to show someone your appreciation(long word to write so early in the morning), there are no other purposes as far as I know.

Well, we didn't get the steal attempt but we did get our own question right, so we're back level. Great work!
New questions! Imladris -- 4 Hank -- 4
Imladris Question IV: What song enabled one to find that for which he sought? Hank Question IV: What thought would require that its thinker turn traitor?
Rivvy's I suspect is the song that Sam sings in the tower of Cirith Ungol that leads him to find Frodo. Ours could be Sam's brief thought of claiming the ring for his own.

I agree on the Rivvy question. As for ours...I was actually thinking it was in a conversation between orcs--they would argue, and one would tell the other Grishnakh--Ugluk, random snaga--random Uruk, Shagrat--Gorbag, that the other was thinking traitor things if that was what he was thinking...I'll check later.

Possible answer from the Sil:
"'Would you then betray the King?' said Elendil. 'For you know well the charge that they make against us, that we are traitors and spies, and until this day it has been false.' 'If I thought Manwë needed such a messenger' said Amandil, 'I would betray the King. For there is but one loyalty from which no man can be absolved in heart for any cause.'" The Sil, Akallabeth
There's a little bit before that as well where Amandil reveals his plan to follow Earendil's footsteps and sail as an emissary to Valinor.

I think the pressure of drill is getting to me - I've just unleashed a rant on to a Hobbit over in HQ...
Here's the bit before that last quote just so you can see what I'm on about: "Therefore he [Amandil] called to his son, Elendil, and he said to him: 'The days are dark, and there is no hope for Men, for the Faithful are few. Therefore I am minded to try that counsel which oru forefather Earendil took of old, to sail into the West, be there ban or no, and to speak to the Valar, even to Manwë himselfm if may be, and beseech his aid ere all is lost.'
Stuff on the orcs: "'I'd like to try somewhere where there's none of 'em. But the war's on now, and when that's over things may be easier.' 'It's going well, they say.' 'They would,' grunted Gorbag. 'We'll see. But anyway, if it does go well, there should be a lot more room. What d'you say? - if we get a chance, you and me'll slip off and set up somewhere on our won with a few trusty lads, somewhere where there's good loot nice and handy, and no big bosses.'" TTT, The Choices of Master Samwise
Checked a few other places where the orcs are involved but didn't find any nice quotes.

Well, that orc answer is no good, and I didn't find any either--I like the Sil quote far better (in fact I used it in lore today, haha)

Arr, the Sil quote is the best I've come across.
The deadline is something ridiculous like 6.34am my time, which as far as I'm concerned doesn't exist on a Saturday. Will anyone be about to post near to deadline or shall I just post it later on tonight?

Wow...well I screwed us up pretty badly, and now we are basically out of the running for this game...$#@^@#&^@#%&@#%&@#&!^*&@!% *releases pent-up frustration* Little mistakes have been our bane this season! WHYYYYY? Anyway, here's the final round of questions: Imladris Question V: Where did Sea appear after Heavens? Hank Question V: What fed on anything that could be obtained with minimal effort? I'm not having any bright sparks, so I'm going to go sulk now.

Urgh. Rather harsh since we had the quote spot on. And Rivvy get away with yet another cheeky steal!
I'm guessing ours is some type of creature. Need to think about this one.
