We got both. 4-0 lead! Now for the next questions:
Team Fangorn Question 2: What was the strangest thing to view amid a ruined circle?
Team Hank Question 2: Who's learning or guess led him to believe that Isildur had taken the One from Sauron's hand?

Hmmm.... Saruman? Denethor? Searching now....

Could well be Faramir: 'Now Faramir's voice sank to a whisper. 'But this much I learned, or guessed, and I have kept it ever secret in my heart since: that Isildur took somewhat from the hand of the Unnamed, ere he went away from Gondor, never to be seen among mortal men again.'" Oh, that looks good. That looks very good.
And on a steal note, I was thinking perhaps either the hobbits on Weathertop, or the two hobbits being interviewed by Faramir, though I haven't had time to check.

that looks great elarith! the only option is gandalf, saruman or elrond but they knew for sure because elrond was there, right? for the steal, I would say the hobbits at weather top when they're eating there.

Yeah, I checked my Saruman hunch but he didn't have to do much learning or guessing - he knew pretty much from the start, with the rest of the Wise, that Isildur had taken the Ring. I've yet to double check Denethor though. Fangy's question... Weathertop was first thought, but it could be the ring of Orthanc as well. Off to make food now but I'll have a look for both those later on. (Feel free to look for me though! )

Found nothing for Denethor after checking RotK and Appendix A.
Fangorn's steal - Merry and Pippin. (Or two small figures. Either would do I suspect.) "The king and all his company sat silent on their horses, marvelling, perceiving that the power of Saruman was overthrown; but how they could not guess. And now they turned their eyes towards the archway and the ruined gates. There they saw close beside them a great rubble-heap; and suddenly they were aware of two small figures lying on it at their ease, grey-clad, hardly to be seen among the stones. (...)
For a moment Théoden and Éomer and all his men stared at them in wonder. Amid all the wreck of Isengard this seemed to them the strangest sight." TTT, The Road to Isengard

Well, Fangy got the same answer, so not much steal opportunity, but hopefully someone else will make the post? It's due in about 12 hours, so not like we're pressed for time, but I'll be around for the next 5 hours or so then sleeping, so just wanna know we don't miss because nobody decided to post.

Alright, well this is worrisome to say the least...I've stayed up as late as I could, and the deadline is approaching...so I do hope nobody minds dreadfully if poor paranoid me takes this into his own hands...

thanks ducky, here are the next questions: Team Fangorn Question 3: Who came to rue a rescue on his deathbed? Team Hank Question 3: Beneath who's feet did flowers bloom amid the sounding of instruments?
the first person that comes to mind is yavanna. I'll look at it. and maybe luthien. I'll take a look at the sil.

this is about luthien but it doesn't say anything about instruments: "there came a time near dawn on the even of spring, and Luthien danced upon a green hill; and suddenly she began to sing. Keen, heart-piercing was her song as the song of the lark that rises from the gates of night an dpours its voice among the dying stars, seeing the sun behind the walls of the world; and the song of Luthien released the bonds of winter, and the frozen waters spoke, and flowers sprang from the cold earth where her feet had passed. ( the silmarillion, of beren and luthien)
I don't think is the answer so I'll keep looking.

As far as the steal, the first thing that jumps to mind Gwindor, though I'm not sure he was rescued...however I can see him regretting being "rescued" by Turin.
